Let’s have a look at the things you should take into consideration before the very final step:

The size of your centerpieces. If they are too small, they will definitely get overlooked. Unless the theme for your wedding is: less is more!! Now, on the other hand, if they are too big, there won’t be enough room for other things on the table like cards, crockery, cutlery and so on. Also it will make the table look to cramped!!

Now lets look at the height. You really need to consider this carefully. Some people really overlook the importance of their wedding centerpieces and the overall effect they can create! If you have opted for an elegant long candle, then height will not really matter as you probably want it to be quite tall to get noticed. But, if you have chosen floral centerpieces you want to make sure that they are “short” enough for people to be able to see one another and be able to communicate across the table!

Set the tone. Height gives quite a dramatic effect. Think about times of the day, is it going to be daylight, dark; evening casual? Use a variety of colors to create that casual effect. Black and white will give you that elegant ambience and also a chic look and feel!

Your wedding centerpieces should reflect all of this and more. Enhance the room with arrangements that are original, personal and unique. In fact, have you thought about not having your centerpieces sit on the tables? That’s right. Consider having them in other strategic places, like hanging from above. Or neatly placed in corners, bringing those dead spaces back to life. That will keep your tables free from clutter and also will give you a stylish venue!

Don’t overlook other important things, like, how many exactly will you need for the occasion. Have you thought at not putting one on each and every table but rather on every other table? So, make sure you count your tables before deciding how many centerpieces you will need. Don’t forget about other areas in the reception room like the table with the wedding gifts, or, if you’ve opted for custom wedding cake toppers, a nice centerpiece next to the cake will most definitely bring that corner to life.

Be consistent. This is so true for everything in life! My background is in corporate identity, and I cannot tell you or stress enough how important it is to be consistent when it comes to colors, shapes, fonts and that particular design for your brand. Your wedding is like “your brand” for the day. When choosing the theme, make sure everything goes according to it, from the very little details to major ones.  You want to keep a consistent look AT ALL TIMES. Believe me, it pays off in the end.
