You can think of themes that would go with your tropical wedding centerpiece like the very popular beach or hot island theme.

The most popular addition to your tables that depict these fantastic two themes would be tropical flower wedding centerpieces. There are many exquisite indigenous flowers you can arrange beautifully, really colorful blossoms with fantastic shapes for display. The most fashionable ones would be African Tulips, Amazon Lilies, Begonia Non Stop Reds, the astonishing Blanket Flower, Bloody Lilies, Blue Passion Flowers, Cattleyas, Day Lilies Frans Hals, Dahlias, Encyclias, Etlingars, Flames of the Forest, Grass of the Dews and Hibiscus. Here are my absolute all time favorites: Anthuriums, Orchids and Esterlicias, which look stunning when scattered around wedding cakes adding rich and deep tonal ranges to the main tables.

The beauty of all these flowers relies in the fact that the tropical centerpieces will be easy to arrange as almost each one of them can stand on each own as a centerpiece itself. Also, you can combine the more traditional wedding flowers like roses and hyacinths together to create elegant wedding centerpieces.

If you are planning on sending these flowers for a wedding that is taking place outside the country, you should check out how to send flowers abroad for safe arrival.

Tall Tropical Flowers Wedding Centerpieces

If your wedding reception tables are small or narrow, these centerpieces are the perfect choice to go for. Arrange beautiful esterlicias with lengthy stems in a tall narrow clear vase. Add colorful twigs or bamboo shoots to make the flowers stand out. You’ll be surprised that only 1 or 2 esterlicias will be more than enough, as they are big and bold. They come in different colors (yellow is the most popular one), use these colors to match the rest of the décor.

Around the base, arrange banana trees’ leaves around the clear vase together with another flower like anthurium. Your tropical wedding centerpiece will look elegant, simple and very lively.

Flat Tropical Centerpiece

If your tables are appropriate for displaying flat centerpieces, curl dracaena leaves around the base and place your tropical flowers on top. You can staple the leaves to make sure they don’t curl back into their original position. Add other green leaves for a fuller effect. Place anthuriums or the flower of your choice carefully on top of the curled leaves, making sure they point in all directions. At this point you can arrange your tropical centerpiece with other spring like flowers like gladiolus or small orchids. For a finishing touch add colorful berries and place two candles to lift up the flat centerpiece.

Beach Wedding Centerpieces

For the “beach effect”, you could use an urn shape vase and arrange different types of rich deep vibrant flowers on top with fern leaves to adorn on the sides. In the middle, tie together a few bamboo shoots and place at the very top of the shoots palm trees’ leaves pointing in all directions. This tropical wedding centerpiece is easy to arrange and has great impact on your guests because of the rich foliage and creativity. One of my favorite ideas if you are planning a budget wedding.

The Elegance of the Pincushion

Pincushion flowers come in many different colors and are perfect to add that tropical touch to your centerpieces. You can find them in blue, lavender, white, pink and coral colors. Choose your favorite one (or the one that matches your décor colors) and arrange over sprayed-painted twigs that lay on top of a flat and short vase. Fill the vase with grey pebbles and sand as to emphasize the colors of the twigs and pincushions.

Anthuriums Are Just Magical

By now you can tell it is my all time favorite tropical flower. It is so versatile, it looks great and you only need one or two to create a fantastic effect. Colors range from white, lime green, lots of shades of pink, deep red and vibrant red.

Place three attractive blossoms on a clear vase with a pedestal shape and arrange together with tropical green leaves. I would not mix this type of tropical centerpiece with other flowers. If you do, make sure they are small enough to add a “touch of color” but be careful as the anthurium will overpower any other blossom you combine it with! Try very small pink roses with deep red anthuriums for an elegant effect.

For the best tropical wedding reception centerpieces all you need is a combination of the right flower and your imagination. The beauty of these fantastic blossoms is that you don’t need many to create a piece that stands out, and they look glorious even in the winter time! With the help of a few bamboo shoots, palm tree and banana tree leaves, sand, pebbles and nicely arranged candles, your tropical wedding centerpieces will sure be a hit with all of your guests!

The flowers in season for this occasion are poinsettias, camellias, snowdrops, hyacinth, lisianthus, lilacs, nerines and irises.

Decide on the color and theme for your winter wedding. Red will give you a lively and festive mood, while icy blue will provide that magical wonderland theme. And white, well, what can I say, white is always so elegant and simple! White flowers just work every time!

Flowers and candles also mix really well when creating your winter wedding centerpieces. Just make sure the candles are unscented, as we don’t want them to overtake the lovely scent of the flowers. Add ribbons to the candles and tie them together in pairs.

Sometimes you also want to think about artificial flowers. They go really well in the winter as it is not the usual blossoming time of year. Use lovely frosted glass vases to hold your candles; you can choose to have a variety of colors.

What about confetti shaped as hearts, or stars, all around your wedding centerpieces? They sure add a festive feel to the occasion!

Natural elements are a great addition to your winter theme. Mistletoe, holly, berries and pine cones they all convey that traditional winter feel. Use them in your arrangements; don’t stick just to the traditional flower centerpiece. Berries, pomegranates, ivy, eucalyptus, evergreen…. And the one element you do not get in any other season: snow.

Use fake snow to decorate your centerpieces. The white in the background will help other colors spark to life. Arrange with pine cones and ever green tree. Add candles to the theme. Sprinkle confetti, flower petals or loose individual pine cones. Bells add a brilliant touch to your wedding centerpieces. Tie them together with rich colored ribbons; red or green are perfect for the occasion.

You can go all cozy with a Christmas theme. Have different sized Christmas trees on the tables to make them individual. Have bigger Christmas trees placed in the reception area. That sure will give you that lovely and warm winter feel!

If you have money to spare, another great idea is to have ice sculptures tailor made for your wedding. Have one big one made for the main table, and then ask the sculptor to create smaller ones that would be placed on the individual tables. They sure will impress your guests!

Isn’t it a lovely season to get married? At this time of year everything is so colorful. Don’t miss out on the fantastic tonal range for your wedding décor. Your wedding centerpieces will for sure add that lovely touch to the mood of your reception. When people walk in, they usually notice the centerpieces above everything else and so they should really look stunning.

There are literally hundreds of ideas for you to choose from. As with the spring theme, you really want to concentrate on those lovely, deep reds, browns, oranges, magentas, etc the fall has to offer. Set the tone of your theme in warm colors; think metals: gold, bronze, copper, ochre…

My favorite color is yellow; which is great for a fall theme. It is such a vibrant and rich color, but also when combined with gold and bronze it deepens the mood creating elegant centerpieces. Yellow is also a very trendy color, suitable for young couples and also marriages that have reached their gold anniversaries and wish to renew their vows.

Yellow can also be used to create all kinds of desired moods; it can be romantic, warm, lively, modern and at the same time old fashioned. It is such a sweet color that could really fit any style of a fall themed wedding.

But, of course, we have to think outside the box and consider different, exciting and unique ideas as we don’t want our friends and family to forget this very special day. Why not have your wedding centerpieces arranged with flowers and pumpkins? What about nuts, leaves and twigs? The pumpkin shells could serve as the flower vases and the rest could be arranged around the centerpiece in lovely little baskets. For an overall magical effect and as a final touch, surround the arrangment with personalised wedding chocolates.

If you don’t want to use flowers for your wedding centerpieces, then leaves and branches would dress the table elegantly and give it the tone of the fall theme in a “less subtle” way. Use fiery fall colors, attach the leaves to different sized branches and bring the outdoor feel inside! Why not painting the twigs and branches in lovely deep gold? They will give out a lovely glow when the evening sets.

You could use other elements with a more natural approach to your fall theme. Things like straw, hay and wheat ears are full of symbolism on this very special time of the year. They are lovely earthy elements with rural and rustic appeal that can look really impressive if arranged properly.

Whichever way you decide to go, don’t forget your wedding centerpieces will make all the difference on that special day!

They are the perfect addition for any spring wedding. And very versatile, too, as you can “sub-theme” your wedding with a particular color or a particular fragrance…

Spring weddings are usually nicely decorated with pastel colors. Sometimes combining shades together gives a lovely overall effect: baby blue and pink, cream green and soft salmon, very light grey and mascarpone white are just some of the possible combinations. If stuck for ideas, you can check for pantone color combination online (again, I have learnt so much out of my corporate design education!). Your wedding centerpieces will reflect the chosen themes nicely and give an overall stunning effect to the perfect day.

Now, you want to make sure you stay away from dark colored flowers as they are much more suitable for a fall themed wedding. There are other things to consider that should help create an all-round theme for your wedding day. You might have to consider different things regarding certain situations, like a particular dress if you are already expecting – The Maternity Wedding Dress Shop is a great place to check out – or any other type of clothing, floral arrangements, lighting, catering etc that should fit the occasion. Whatever the choices, your décor should keep consistent with your chosen theme.

Also, spring is that amazing part of the year where things come to life. Why not reflect that in your wedding centerpieces by having your flowers surrounded by lots of different types of pastel toned buds? They would create a lovely centerpiece as well as marking a “new beginning”…

Bulbs are great for that particular fresh spring look. I’m thinking daffodils, tulips, calla lilies, begonias, dahlias, all available in different colors and therefore providing stunning effects for your spring theme. We all know how bulb flowers don’t really last that long when cut; that is what makes them perfect for your special centerpiece. What about keeping them potted with the buds just opening? The display could consist of decorative plant pots matching your theme –and don’t forget your chosen colors- for spectacular wedding centerpieces. And if you want everlasting fragrance, freesias and lilies every time!

Want to think outside the flower box? There are literally thousands of great ideas for your centerpiece. What about goldfish? Yes, clear fish bowls with goldfish swimming around! That will keep your guests entertained for sure as well as creating a very dynamic centerpiece.

Clear bowls and vases can also be used to display coffee beans, river stones, pebbles, sand, even underwater lighting… or have candy bouquets with giant lollypops, individual wedding cakes, floating candles, baskets with potpourri, photographs, fruit pyramids! Each centerpiece could be different from the next one in size and display form. Make each and every table unique!

As you can see, the possibilities are endless. But they should always reflect you!
